¶ Story Summary
This is a brief rendition of the WAGDIE story.

¶ Dawn of the 18th Cycle
- Travelers gather at The Church of Her to celebrate the goddess Mother Agora.
- During the ritual bonfires, individuals begin to sacrifice themselves in the flames.
- In appreciateion of the sacrifices, Mother Agora summons and burns a Mutant Ape in a grand display.
- All those who sacrificed themselves received Tokens of Concord, representing her power.
- A cleric named Remo is delighted and invites the travelers to Stalwart Fortress.
¶ Knowledge of the Stalwart
- The travelers meet Yuler as he delivers them som Field Notes.
- He is captured by a Darkblade Assassin, and the travelers rescue him by killing her.
- Arriving at Stalwart Fortress, the group meet many new characters, includding Gregor, who tells them much about the world.
- Yuler is captured by The Dark Blade Guild and killed when the group does not cede to their demands.
- Visiting The Prisons of Yore and free a woman named Rita who leads an assault to liberate Stalwart Fortress.
- Rita kills Remo and many others, revealing the clerics had taken Stalwart Fortress by force.
¶ Chaos, Unbound and Reformed
- The travelers visit Crow's Den and experience an event called Trial of the Crow where many die.
- Escaping, the travelers venture to The Swamps of Detriti and meet an Old Hag who teaches about The Coven.
- With Mother Agora's light fading, a ritual to Detriti is undertaken.
- The travelers sacrifice The Bull and The Toad, creating a deformed Amalgam in the process.
- Through this, the travelers discover they are each a fracture of a single being — The Lost Pilgrim
- A unity is found in The Conclave, and the travelers find access to wealth and resources.
¶ Finding Direction
- The travelers return to Stalwart Fortress to speak with Gregor one last time before he dies.
- He gives them Luta's Silver Compass and tells them to find components to recharge its power.
- 8 of the travelers enter a Tournament of Champions and a victor is crowned.
- The travelers vote on their best representatives to run The Conclave, and choose 6 people.
- Many begin submitting ideas on how the travellers should spend their newfound resources.
¶ Reality's Bend
- Leaving Stalwart Fortress to explore The Primordial Lands, the travelers find a strange Ruined Shrine.
- At the entrance to The Primordial Lands, they are confronted by The Glutton who asks many riddles.
- Inside the realm, they meet an Unnamed Druid who expands their knowledge of the world.
- The travelers are given a Strange Mushroom and told to deliver it to the Druids of the Southern Plain.
- As The Blood Moon rises, it becomes dangerous and the travelers take shelter in Sibor's Mound.
- They're led to meet She Who Smiles, who tells them to find 30 Tokens of Concord to learn about Searing them.
- The Moth flies the travelers to the center of The Primordial Lands and to the massive godling Piyu at its core.
- While trying to exit many are beckoned into The Glutton's mouth and are eaten whole.
¶ Blood & Revelry
- The travelers are challenged by strange riddles from Ruined Shrine.
- An invite to The Grand Festival is posted at Stalwart Fortress, and the travelers attend.
- The festival begins with Jobus the Jester telling the sad tale of Yuria the Ancient.
- 32 challengers enter The Festival Tournament and prepare for battle.
- Several others venture into the Cavern of Lost Souls and rescue Doran after much hardship.
- The Festival Tournament begins and it's both glorious and violent.
- The villanous Bald Burner is slain in a first round upset, but is reborn after sacrificing 8 bald captives.
- Chen is crowned champion of the tournament.
- Entrants to The Festival Tournament are awarded Noxium Brew, Jester's Dice, and a Jester's Wand.
- The Darkblade Guild hold ceremonies where Chen is inducted to their ranks and granted a Darkblade Shroud.
¶ Fury of Mt Turlo
- Once the spirit of Elise is delivered to The Ruined Shrine, riddle-solvers receive the Molten Talisman.
- It's revealed that M3RL1N has a connection with Yuria and is key to opening Sealed Gates of Turlo.
- The travelers meet Grimlok who explains how Yuria and Detriti were once lovers, and now Church of Her is ash.
- Grimlok invites thirty to become The Thirty of Turlo and enter Mount Turlo with him to find The Molten Heart.
- Several travelers die within the mountain, until The Red Horn is blown and The Inner Chamber is uncovered.
- Grimlok reveals he is a traitor and transforms into the beast Molosh, a battle ensues killing many of The Thirty.
- Wounded badly, Molosh vows revenge and flees.
- Within The Inner Chamber, the survivors meet The Molten Toad who tells much about Yuria and The Third.
- Four of The Thirty stay behind to power The Molten Heart and the rest leave Mount Turlo pursued by a Red Raptor.
- Those who ventured into the mountain are granted Raptor's Tooth, Obsidian Blade, Molten Heart.
- The traveller Council of Six donates one of The Molten Heart to power Luta's Silver Compass.
- After all have returned, Julian Tryhard ventures to Crow's Den to study the Jester's Wand.
¶ Mania's Grip
- Julian Tryhard arrives at Crow's Den to study the Jester's Wand.
- He unlocks its secrets, revealing the history of The Nameless Charter and his Noxium Brew.
- Julian becomes posessed by the power of the Jester's Wand, and feels its grip overtake him.
- Stealing the Jester's Wand from The Darkblade Guild, Julian flees from Crow's Den in giddy delight.
- Back at Stalwart Fortress, a troubled Rita reveals a strange machine she has built.
- Rita has been suffering to her waning mind lately, and begins to long for death.
- Rita's Machine produces puzzles that, once solved, produce numbers and Artificer's Crystals.
- Zell provides The Lost Pilgrim with a new map.
- In agony and confusion, Rita tells The Pilgrim all that she can rightly remember of the world.
- She reveals that all of her knowledge is stored inside The Machine that she built.
- Rita is then brought to the machine, an euthenized.
- Elsewhere, M3RL1N awakes from his slumber in Mount Turlo to find himself powerfully transformed.
- Meanwhile, Julian is on the run from a Murder of Crows that are hunting him down.
- Julian escapes from his pursuers by floating above the treeline via Mysterious Balloons.
- When he lands, Julian is confronted by M3RL1N who forcibly takes the Jester's Wand from him.
- The Murder of Crows catch up with Julian and force him back to Crow's Den.
¶ Battle for the Burning Church
- After a long time away, The Lost Pilgrim returns to The Church of Her, only to find it engulfed in flames.
- Forces begin to amass in the Encampment of Her Light and the Bulwark of The Serpent as a conflict arises.
- The Ouroboros 8 begin conspiring behind the scenes on behalf of The Nameless Serpent.
- Her Silence begins to champion for the forces of Mother Agora and bring newcomers to his side.
- Many more pour into the Bulwark of The Serpent, including Detriti and The Nameless Charter.
- The first conflict of the war commences, seeing over 300 souls pledging their lives to either side.
- Outgunned by the might of Detriti and The Nameless Charter, the The Encampment suffers more than twice the losses.
- During the battle, Detriti, The Swamp Witch is overwhelmed and becomes the first of The Seventeen to be slain.
- Fighters in the war receive Medallions and Bands as trophies of their participation.
- More souls begin to arrive at The Encampment and The Bulwark as the conflict continues to escalate.
- The Crow of Detriti joins The Bulwark, resentful over the death of The Swamp Witch and seeking revenge.
- In the final moments before war breaks out again, Wormlord Kuul arrives at The Bulwark to bolster its forces.
- The second battle breaks out, and The Encampment suffers a devastating loss to The Bulwark.
- As fighting subsides, members of The Bulwark surround The Encampment, trapping their few remaining enemies within.
- A vote is held exclusively among those holding Bands of the Bulwark to decide their prisoners' fate.
- To the surprise of many, mercy is shown, and the few left living are set free.
- The Church of Her twists, sprouts thick vines, and transforms under the new power of The Nameless Serpent.
