As the The Thirty chase after Grimlok in the depths of Mount Turlo, they grow ever closer to the Molten Heart of Yuria.
Down the secret passage that Grimlok uncovered after blowing The Red Horn, the travelers in the depths of Mount Turlo chase past Red Raptors and over lava flows to catch the traitor who had led them to their demise. Grimlok was already responsible for nine of The Thirty's deaths and sought to claim the Molten Heart of Yuria for himself.
Just before reaching The Inner Chamber of Mount Turlo, the travelers catch up to Grimlok who has no choice but to confront them for his trechery. He is angered to see so many of The Thirty still alive and warns them against interference with his plan.
Grimlok reveals that he is actually a being called Molosh, Casing of the Worm, an outcast among all — even the worshipers of The Nameless Serpent. He was deemed unfit and by their kind and burrowed to a dark corner of the earth where he came into contact with a Hybrid Being that answered his calls in fear and caused him to transform into a far more powerful entity.
Molosh the Outcast reveals that he was shunned for seeking the power of the Molten Heart, as his kind refused its power despite his assurances that The Nameless Serpent craves all power. Molosh believes that by bringing The Nameless Serpent the power of Yuria he will ascend in power, becoming one with the god while ruling beneath him as his legend.
Standing against the remainder of The Thirty in anger, Molosh transforms into his beastial form and a battle ensues.
Seven more of The Thirty are slain in the fight before Molosh is gravely wounded and flees from Mount Turlo, leaving the passage to the Molten Heart clear. He vows that he shall return, and reap his retribution.
The travelers take a moment to rest as the echo of Yuria's heart grows louder. They continue onward to The Inner Chamber and are confronted with the awesome sight of the Molten Heart and its keeper, The Molten Toad.
The Molten Toad greets the surviving members of The Thirty of Turlo and questions their worthiness. It reveals that Yuria's heart is filled with rage and that it destroys all who interfere with its power. He tells that the heart is not capable of creation or restoration, it is now only a weapon of unbridled force that does not know friend or foe.
Since Detriti's approach to The Molten Heart, none have entered The Inner Chamber, and The Molten Toad has been locked within ever since. He regards Detriti as foolish for trying to harness the power of The Molten Heart, but remarks that her influence now grows despite her failed experiments to harness Yuria's power. Because of this, he is unsure whether The Lost Pilgrim is acting on her behalf or for their own pursuit.
He begins to question the validity of a prophecy fortelling The Third, and laughs at how The Two must now be in fear of the possibility of its existence.
The Molten Heart begins to beat faster, and The Molten Toad recognizes those within The Thirty who are of Turlo lineage.
Four of The Thirty bearing Turlo lineage are set to remain within The Inner Chamber to enhance Yuria's power through The Molten Heart, and thus also strengthen Detriti. For so long as they stay with The Molten Heart, they four will anguish and suffer as they stoke the fires of destruction. Yuria's heart beats strong, as they accept their duties.
The rest of the travelers escape The Inner Chamber, leaving their companions and The Molten Toad behind as the entrance to the chambers collapses behind them and the way to The Molten Heart is sealed, possibly forever.
As the ten survivors of The Thirty of Turlo reunite with the rest of the travelers waiting for them at the Sealed Gate of Turlo, they are pursued by passive Red Raptors that watch them from afar.
Sitting around a campfire, King Offling and Gunther Wolfsblood recant many recent events and discuss the potential future. Many gather around to hear them, and take comfort in being (mostly) all together once more.
As the campfire warms the night, Julian Tryhard steps forward to give his thoughts on the events, and reveal his intention to travel to Crow's Den on behalf of The Concord of Research, accepting their invitation to study The Jester's Wand under their watch.
While there is much protest from the crowd over Julian's safety amidst the chaos-loving Darkblade Guild, he is confident in his decision and sets out to attend their offer at first light. King Offling vows that if any harm befalls Julian by hand of the Crows, there will be war between the two concords.
The Lost Pilgrim begins the journey back to Stalwart Fortress as Yuria's heart continues beating stronger within the mountain.
As they journey back to their home base, a single Red Raptor pursues the travelers; keeping its distance as it does.
