The adventurers set course for The Primordial Lands and prepare to meet Piyu and her personal chef, The Glutton.
Leaving Stalwart Fortress for The Grand Elevator, the travelers must operate the machine alone as Rita remains grief stricken over the death of Gregor and will not accompany them.
Upon passage through the halls toward The Grand Elevator, they discover a note at the entrance to its tunnels.
The mysterious message calls some out to explore outside the hall, finding the mentioned Ruined Shrine.
There is a tranquility upon approach, but soon words begin to appear on the shrine.
Many travelers begin asking questions to the shrine until Pious the Blunt asks "What is the purpose of this shrine?"
Upon the question, the shrine begins to transform again and reveal more mystery.
The Twins begin to unravel the mystery, discovering connection to Dunnottar Castle and traces the exact location suggested by the shrine.
On the ceiling above the suggested location are some words.
In defens regi et regno
In defending the king and kingdomTranslation assumed by The Concord of Research.
Upon repeating these aloud to the shrine, there is an invitation for The Twins to inscribe their Ether Location on the wall; their wisdom to be remembered.
Empty plains surround the area as an ethereal blue glows on the horizon. Winds hum, and as the travelers approach The Primordial Lands, the large frame of The Glutton reveals itself in the distance.
The Glutton greets the travelers, first in Primordial Speak that can only be understood backwards.
Upon realizing the travelers do not understand it, The Glutton speaks forwardly and reveals they are very hungry. It delights in remembering that it recognizes many of the travelers, and suggests that it already enjoyed eating some of them — a potential forewarning that some are yet to be eaten given its inversed perspective of time.
The Glutton invites the travelers to a game. It shall pose three questions, offering some of its soup if answered correctly. If not, it shall eat some of the travelers (leaving nothing but bones).
What sounds as dread, and yet rises all the same?
Bread
This mask has not one, but two names. What is it?
Sibor's Brace and Worlmlord Visage
Who told you of my existence in this world?
The Hag of Detriti
Answering all three questions correctly, the travelers are permitted passage into The Primordial Lands but are warned — If they spend longer than 4 days within the realm, they may find themselves unable to leave it.
A calm overwhelms all of them,as the lush and terrifying world begins to unfold.
