¶ Cycle of Her
The day of Her Number has arrived, and many are waiting in The Church of Her with great expectation for what's to come.
¶ Equivalent Exchange
Early in the day, it is pronounced that the 21 who had given their lives during the Second Night would soon see their sacrifice honored in a grand demonstration of equivalent exchange. Many speculated upon this phrase's meaning, whether they would be honored in some fashion, granted a boon, or some other reward.
None knew what was to come, yet this notice spurred many more to begin sacrificing themselves at a faster rate than ever before in presumption that they too would surely see something for their selfless act. It was a chaotic frenzy like none other.
¶ Turning of The Cycle
As Mother Agora's power accumulated through the sacrifices of the travelers, a strange pulse emanated through all.
The balance of power within the world had begun to shift.
¶ Return of Her Light
Visions of the future began to flood the minds of the travelers as many sensed a great collision of worlds had begun.
The true nature of the cycle began to reveal itself as Mother Agora was restored to glory.
All bore witness as The Church of Her illuminated with Her divine light.
¶ Dawn of The 18th Cycle
Huddled around her statue in The Church of Her, the travelers witnessed as a being from another dimension was pulled forth by the power of Mother Agora.
It was a grotesque creature; a Mutant Ape, symbol of vanity and excess, but in equivalence with the 21 souls who had sacrificed themselves to Her glory during the Second Night of the ritual.
The Ape screeched as its body was risen helplessly into the air by Her unseen hand and then lowered into the flames.
All those gathered around echoed a chant, "Burn the ape! Burn the ape!" as they reveled its demise.
Now with proof of Agora's power, still more jumped into the flames.
By the end of the ceremony nearly 100 had given themselves for Her glory.
