¶ How To Sear
So, you've decided to transform your WAGDIE through the magic of Searing.
This guide will help you step-by-step through the process.
¶ Requirements
In order to sear, you will need one of the 6,666 WAGDIE Characters and a Token of Concord.
When they are combined, they will update the character with new visual traits and metadata, affecting their aesthetic and rarity.
They will also become permanent members of their respective Concord.
Members of The Seventeen and certain specialty characters are currently unable to be seared.
Similarly, select ultra-rare Tokens of Concord such as The Skull of Detriti and Eye of Julian are unable to be used.
¶ Process
To sear a character, visit your Character Hub at fateofwagdie.com and sign-in with your wallet.
Then, select the WAGDIE character you wish to sear, and click the Searing Icon in the top-right corner of their profile image.
After you click the Searing Icon, a menu will pop-up with an array of all the Tokens of Concord you hold in the wallet you've signed in with.
Select the Tokens of Concord to see previews of what your character will look like once the searing is complete.
Once you are satisfied with their appearance, click the SEAR button to begin the transformation.
Be aware, Searing is a permanent act that consumes your Token of Concord.
Once a token has been used to sear a character, it is irrevocably sent to the Burn Address.
¶ Blockchain Confirmations
From there, you will need to Approve Access so that the smart contract can interact with your tokens.
There will be 3 transactions during your first searing, as the contract approves access.
There will be 1 transaction for every searing thereafter.
Approve each of these transactions in your wallet to conduct the searing process.
Each transaction will cost a nominal gas fee.
Gas fees fluctuate based on blockchain activity.
Once you've signed each of the required transactions and they've finished verifying on the blockchain, your character will be automatically updated with its new metadata and traits!

¶ How many times can I sear a WAGDIE?
Each individual WAGDIE can be seared only once, so choose carefully!
¶ Is this permanent?
Yes. Once seared, you will be unable to revert your character or change it again.
¶ What happens to the Token of Concord when I use it to sear?
The token is sent to the Burn Address and is forever unretrievable. Consider it gone for good.
¶ How many different traits / combinations are there?
Experiments are part of the fun with searing. Though, several of the available traits have been deduced by the community and cataloged in the Searing section of this wiki.
¶ How do I download my new pfp after searing?
To download any WAGDIE pfp, visit their page on fateofwagdie.com/characters and click the img button beneath the profile picture to find the raw image file.
