According to Rita, The Wound is the site of the Grand Battle for The Wound.
During the Liberation of Stalwart Fortress, she explained that the Grand Battle for The Wound ended as Artificial God sacrificed himself and, although once a devout of Mother Agora, became a ferocious beast capable of killing Gods. It still roams the lands and protects The Wound, destroying all beings mortal and immortal who approach it. Even the primordial powers of Piyu, The Godling are no match for the ferocity of Artificial God's defense now.
"The Wound of this world became our sanctum... It was a time with only peace...The beautiful plains. The flowers, how I miss the flowers. a single flower... blossoming in front of the wound. Burned. Trampled. Destroyed. Reborn over the Cycles. It appears. Over and over again in my mind." Rita's final memories.. is this what The Artifical God is guarding?
