¶ Losing Grip
The travelers enter The Primordial Lands and reality begins to shift beneath their feet.
¶ Ailment of The Death Dealer
Shortly after leaving the Swamps of Detriti, a knight known as The Death Dealer began reporting that a scar on his eye had begun to afflict him — A curse carried since birth that grew as the full moon rose.
Over the coming days it would grow worse, spreading across his face and causing intense pain along with fits of rage.
As his condition worsened, he sought The Concord of Research for assistance in hopes of some remedy and a hospice was established for his arrival. Meanwhile, Dilbert and Axan poured through tomes of ancient knowledge to find a cure.
Arriving at The Concord of Research, the worsening Death Dealer was laid under care of Axan as he began to reveal the incantations from the book.
The group hurried to unravel the incantations of the book, and find three elements of the potion that was required. Then, in precise order deliver the items along with incantations led by Korrus and M3RL1N, producing a great vapor which caused hallucinations within The Death Dealer.
Shapes began to float in the air amid the vapors, as The Death Dealer communicated the details of his vision. Though it was hard to understand, its comprehension would be the key to the ritual's completion. Ultimately it was Dilbert who deciphered the rendition of the vision's symbols, releasing something within The Death Dealer.
Feeling better for the time, The Death Dealer left The Concord of Research but would later reveal his condition had not been completely removed. Despite this, all carried on their journey through The Primordial Lands.
¶ The Unnamed Druid
After leaving The Glutton, the travelers ventured into The Primordial Lands and were soon discovered by a strange man who no longer had a name. This Unnamed Druid warns that The Primordial Lands consume those who are not vigilant against Piyu's unearthly call.
The Unnamed Druid reveals that he has lived in The Primordial Lands for a long time, and that though it is home to many wondrous myths. of magic such as a room that grants any wish, or a potion that cures all ailments, he no longer remembers why he came. All he knows is that he has been within The Primordial Lands for too long and it has changed him. He claims that the place is like a mirror, and that it created another version of himself — though, cannot remember if he is the original.
As he talks, a strange Primordial Creature falls into a hunting trap he has laid.
While butchering the creature, he tells much of lands and persons the travelers do not yet know.
The Unnamed Druid explains that The Primordial Lands are home to The Ancients who have lived since the beginning, and that it is possible The Two Gods are infact themselves of their kind. Though, he is uncertain.
Piyu found her strength in a fusion with the knowledge of The Ancients, becoming the protector of The Primordial Lands in the process and warping reality in the process. He claims this has corrupted everything within the lands, including himself.
He then tells the travelers that long ago he came to The Primordial Lands with two others, Sibor the Warrior and Logun the Healer, who were both Druids of the Southern Plain like himself but had both long since died, and yet continued to live outside of The Primordial Lands by virtue of The Ancients' limitless magic.
Talking turns to ranting as The Unnamed Druid expouses a strong distaste for those who accept a singular god. Druids of the Southern Plain regard both of The Two as a dyadic form of the same force. He spits at the perversions that are Yorn and Yogg, believing them corruptions that only humanity can create.
The Druid's ranting turns to rambling, as he tells of Sibor's obsession with The Worm and his emulatory mask.
He idly mentions that the worms may be present underground, beneath The Church of Her.
¶ Nightfall and The Blood Moon
The Unnamed Druid decides that it is important the travelers visit The Moth, a being who may have foretold their arrival.
While embarking, The Blood Moon begins to rise and both the world and Druid begin to transform.
He hurries the travelers to Sibor's Mound where they will be safe for the evening, so long as they do not open the door.
The Druid laments that he will no longer be able to take the travelers to The Moth because The Blood Moon will sap his sanity away and a thirst will overtake his desire. He tells that The Moth will make their presence known, and that the travelers must avoid direct contact with Piyu by travelling around her through the mossy tombs north of Sibor's Mound.
Before leaving, The Unnamed Druid gives the travelers a Strange Mushroom, asking them to deliver it to Druids of the Southern Plain and the version of himself that exists outside of The Primordial Lands. He wonders if Sibor and Logun still exist there as well.
He warns the travelers to stay away from him and his home thereafter, as The Blood Moon will retain hold on him.
The travelers barricade themselves within Sibor's Mound and wait out the night.
Sitting in pure darkness, reality begins to melt away before they lose consciousness.
