Even having been born blind and with no hope of life, Umbero left his village and became a mercenary. At first, he struggled to find work due to his disability, but eventually, he got a job looking after a wealthy merchant's caravan. It was during this assignment that Umbero faced his biggest challenge yet.
The caravan was ambushed by a group of bandits, and Umbero found himself facing off against a skilled swordsman. Using his other senses from him, Umbero was able to anticipate the bandit's moves and deal a decisive blow to him, defeating him in combat. From then on, Umbero's reputation as a mercenary champion grew and he began to receive more and more job offers.
