A "Labor and Energy Workforce Improvement System" created to serve. At some point, it accompanied its master to the Catacombs for the cyclical advent of Searing upon which the two became separated.
Without directive, L.E.W.I.S. traversed the breadth of the Catacombs until his power source expired, his defunct form joining the slew of sear-heads and other unfortunate travelers in littering the underground halls.
¶ The 18th Cycle
In the 18th cycle, L.E.W.I.S. was rebooted through the searing power of embers, whereupon he immediately latched upon the searer, guiding him through the vast underpass of the Catacombs.
When Axan eventually located the pair, L.E.W.I.S did not hesitate, ambushing the berserker before the three engaged in combat, an altercation that eventually led to his demise.
