Tuto has never spoken since his tongue was burned out by Her Light. He watches all and protects Her Light ruthlessly, enforcing Yogg's will. His strength and fanaticism became a fascinating object for She who Smiles. Perhaps you remember his stoic stance at the beginning of your journey, Foolish Pilgrim... Or are you simply imagining it in your memory? His eyes glaring deeply into Her Binding Light.
Tuto is able to speak through vocal projection. The process requires a living host referred to as a vessel. Tuto himself has implied that he has possessed more than one vessel for his purposes.
¶ The 18th Cycle
Tuto was made castellan of the Celestium, a mobile powerhouse under the control of Yogg. Traveling to the village of Tengmor, Tuto launched a campaign in the name of Mother Agora to heal those infected by the Plague of the Headless.
Using a vessel known as the Carynx of Tuto to speak, Tuto preached his mission feverntly from the Celestium, broadcasting a message of hope throughout the region.
He enlisted the aid of Paragon of the Spectrum, an elite team of banner knights, to capture the more devolved infected known as Sporewalkers. Tuto also issued a beacon that hijacked the signals of Artifical Crystals throughout the land to further the reach of his messages.
The campaign proved to be a success, with hundreds of Sporewalkers and lesser infected detained while attracting some individuals who were not even ill.
Tuto then summoned the Protagonist to the Celestium.
