As an early disciple of Detriti, Paros became attracted to the power of the Wormlords. His fascination led him into the Void where he learned to consume light itself. The dark throes of the Abyss continued to influence him and, as a wormscale parasite took up adobe in his head, Paros began to devour others even as his flesh rotted off his wan form.
By some manner lost to him, Paros eventually egressed, finding himself in the Catacombs. Dolorous and isolated, he stalked the breadth of its realm, the parasite in his head writhing and biting into the damp air.
In his years of wandering the underground halls and passages, Paros interacted with many denizens of the depths. At some point, he became separated from his jawbone.
Paros encountered Protagonist in the labyrinth of the Catacombs and recruited his help in retrieving his lost jawbone from the Crypt of Daath. Upon becoming whole again, Paros began to emanate a strange glow and spoke solemnly before becoming overwhelmed with guilt upon hearing the name "Piat", woefully claiming that the The Keepers caused her demise.
Paros of the Swamp is one of five known as The Keepers. Unlike the others however, his mark lies not upon his palm but across his jawbone. The reason for this is unknown.
