Found only around pools deep within The Putrid Forest, cockatrices are omnivorous beasts that build elaborate nests to confuse their enemies and protect their young.

Mozre Dee found the first two Young Cockatrices born far away from their natural home, and rather ill.
She offered them to any individuals who could successfully venture to the Pools of Langor within The Putrid Forest and recover some of the waters necessary to nurse them back to health.
